A two-day course on soft and hard tissue management will provide in-depth training on techniques essential for optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes.
Course Overview
Objective: Equip advanced dentists with advanced techniques in managing soft and hard tissues for successful dental implant rehabilitation, including live patient demonstrations.
Duration: 2 days (approximately 16 hours, including breaks).
Format: Theoretical instruction, live demonstrations (including on patients), hands-on workshops, and case study reviews.
Day 1: Hard Tissue Management
1. Overview of Hard Tissue Challenges in Implantology (9:00 AM - 9:30 AM)
Common hard tissue deficiencies encountered in implant cases.
Importance of hard tissue management for implant longevity and success.
2. Bone Grafting Techniques (9:30 AM - 11:00 AM)
Types of bone grafts and indications for each.
Step-by-step procedures for autografts, allografts, xenografts, and alloplasts.
3. Ridge Augmentation Procedures (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)
Techniques for horizontal and vertical ridge augmentation.
Use of membranes and barriers for guided bone regeneration (GBR).
4. Lunch Break (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM)
5. Live Patient Demonstration: Bone Grafting and Ridge Augmentation (1:30 PM - 3:00 PM)
Live demonstration of bone grafting and ridge augmentation on a patient.

Day 2: Soft Tissue Management

Overview of the role soft tissues play in the aesthetic outcome of implants.
Review of soft tissue biotypes and their impact on treatment planning.
2. Soft Tissue Grafting Techniques (9:30 AM - 11:00 AM)
Different types of soft tissue grafts: free gingival grafts, connective tissue grafts, and pedicle grafts.
Indications and techniques for each type of graft.
3. Live Patient Demonstration: Soft Tissue Grafting (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)
Live patient demonstration of soft tissue grafting techniques.
Critical evaluation of graft placement and suturing techniques.
